Edited by Allen Everett,Vera Ignjavtovic, and Hanno Steen

The Paediatric Proteomics (PediOme) is an initiative of HUPO that aims to advance the use of proteomic techniques to solve major issues in Paediatric medicine by:

i) Characterization of the paediatric proteome across a wide-variety of tissues and biological samples.
ii) Improving the current knowledge of the pathophysiology of childhood diseases.
iii) Facilitate training, communication and collaborations between scientists, clinicians and the industry across all parts of the globe in the areas of interest specific to child health and disease.

This review series published in Clinical Proteomics highlights the work done by scientists working on the PediOme.

This collection of articles has not been sponsored and articles have undergone the journal's standard peer-review process. The Guest Editors declare no competing interests.
